SIPMA – Society of International Artists and Printmakers started when a few practicing artist friends came together in 2012, Rajan Fulari (Head of Printmaking Lalit Kala, Bangalore, India) Bruce Waldman – a member of The Board of Govenors of the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, and a Director of The New York Society of Etchers, Monika Lynn (Beijing, China) and Moutushi Chakravorty, a Goldsmith graduate, writer, printmaker, came together with the idea of furthering mutual artistic interest in the global forum. Based entirely on friendship and mutual interest, SIPMA established itself by organizing shows at the Gramercy Gallery, NYC, Asian Arts Initiative, Philadelphia, Atlantic Healthcare, Summit, NJ and now at the SIPMAjuried’2014.
SIPMA advices artists and lets them handle their own sales and claims zero percentage from their earnings. At its core we are an artists’ co-op with an international reach! SIPMA sponsors international and deserving striving local talents. We nurture their artistic development by placing them in shows, transporting their works, framing, and even writing their bios and statements free of charge! The success of SIPMA is the enterprising artist. The artist who is willing to go the distance, share resources and innovate.
We are an international artist’s co-op dedicated to furthering art with a narrative. Specializing in contemporary art inter disciplinary exhibitions, we feature artists from all over the world in a variety of exhibits. While our artists worldwide impact the expanse and nature of our curatorial discourse, every show undergoes a highly competitive selection process by which we procure our exhibition space. SIPMAContemporary has been invited by galleries, universities and not for profit spaces since 2012 solely by merit of the caliber of artists and curatorial discourse. We have organized shows, selected by celebrated guest jurors as well as our in house panel of jury.
